Mastering GIS Deploma V2

ArcGIS Pro

About this Course

This comprehensive GIS Diploma is designed to build a strong foundation for beginners aiming to enter the

geospatial industry. Through a structured, hands-on learning journey, participants will gain practical skills in

spatial data creation and management, geodatabase design, web GIS development, spatial analysis, remote

sensing integration, and enterprise-level GIS solutions.

The program focuses on real-world applications and workflows, enabling learners to convert and integrate data

from various sources, automate spatial processes, analyze complex geographic problems, and develop

complete GIS solutions. By the end of the diploma, participants will be fully equipped with the technical and

analytical competencies required to launch a successful career in the geospatial field.

Goals

• Understand the fundamental concepts of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), spatial data types,

coordinate systems, and map representation principles.

• Create, manage, and edit vector and raster spatial data and design professional cartographic outputs for

real-world projects.

• Build and manage geodatabases, establish spatial and tabular relationships, and apply data quality control

techniques (QA/QC) to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

• Integrate and manage spatial data from various sources, including CAD files, remote sensing imagery, and

external databases, within enterprise GIS environments.

• Convert and migrate geospatial data efficiently between different formats and systems, utilizing automated

workflows with tools such as Model Builder and FME.

• Design, publish, and manage GIS services within ArcGIS Enterprise, and understand the components and

architecture of enterprise-level GIS systems.

• Create, configure, and share Web GIS solutions using ArcGIS Online, including interactive web maps,

dashboards, apps, and field data collection solutions.

• Work with open-source geospatial technologies, including QGIS, PostGIS, PostgreSQL, and GeoServer, to

build flexible, cost-effective GIS solutions.

• Apply spatial analysis techniques — including suitability analysis, network analysis, Geo statistics, and

spatial modeling — to support data-driven decision-making.

• Perform data cleaning, validation, transformation, and engineering to prepare high-quality datasets for

spatial analysis and visualization.

• Utilize remote sensing data and integrate it into GIS workflows to enhance spatial insights and support

environmental or infrastructure applications.

• Build and automate geospatial workflows using Model Builder, and understand how to design scalable

analysis pipelines without extensive coding.

• Leverage GeoAI (AI and machine learning for geospatial data) for advanced spatial prediction,

classification, and analytical modeling.

• Understand the fundamentals of utility and infrastructure networks (electric, water, gas, and

communication) and how to model, manage, and analyze them in GIS.
